In July MTAA Nederland organised a benefit dinner for MTAA Kenya. The evening started with a mix of appetizers from around the world; of course the traditional Kenyan ugali (maize ball) could not be missed.
Since the beginning of 2018 MTAA receives the support of the Dutch foundation Wilde Ganzen (Wild Geese). This organisation supports projects against poverty worldwide.
On October 16 – a bright and sunny day – sixteen people ran the Amsterdam Marathon raising money for MTAA collecting EUR 3000. A great success of this sixth marathon for MTAA!
Since April 2016 MTAA has been training HIV-positive adolescents (10-18 years). They form the first generation who were infected from birth and have survived thanks to medication. These trainings were realised thanks to a generous donation of a Dutch friend and another important donor.
A new group of discordant couples was trained by MTAA in October and November 2016. The turn up, 33 couples, was beyond expectancy. Several participants knew they were HIV positive, whereas their partners were not aware of this being afraid of separation.
