On October 16 – a bright and sunny day – sixteen people ran the Amsterdam Marathon raising money for MTAA collecting EUR 3000. A great success of this sixth marathon for MTAA!
The record was broken by the Kenyan Daniel Wanjiru. The 24-year-old long-distance runner had not before finished under 2.08. In Amsterdam he ran 2.05,19. For MTAA runners the record of ‘weather circumstances’ was broken: in the morning the weather was great for the 8 kms, the half-marathon runners less lucky with temperatures between 18 C. and 20 C., however their times were fine: 1.44,15h and 1.45,56h. Happy faces everywhere. We can’t wait for the seventh edition!
